Krok 1. Storebought cucumbers are often coated with a chemical to retard spoilage, and it is beter to peel them using a vegetable peeler. You don't have to peel the cucumber if you grow your own.

Krok 2. Cut into halves lenghtwise. Work the edge of a dessert spoon along the seeds, close to the flesh, making a type of incision. When you are through with one side, turn the cucumber and loosen the seeds on the other side. Finally using the bowl of the spoon, scrape out all the seeds in one stroke.

Krok 3. Slice into 3- or 6- milimeter slices.
